What was the first generation of Ford Explorer to offer third row seating?

I want to say third. My first gen didn't have them, second gen I've been in didn't, but third gen did.

I think the question is was which Exploder had 3rd row first.
Yeah, my 86 Suburban had a factory 3rd row seat. I think 1984 was the first one.

I know that was the question, but since you answered something about the suburban i commented related to your post

Front facing third/rear facing fourth, or sweet limo style benches with what looks to be a shelf for the family dog!

3rd gen with the shitty v6
The current gen was designed unibody by the former lead designer from land rover.
Hence the similarities in the range rover sport and évoque and the new explorer and escape
